My Giving Helps raises nearly $1 million

With more than $967,000 raised by 3,860 employees for the MGH Fund and United Way, the 2013 My Giving Helps campaign was an enormous success. The annual campaign welcomed more than 200 new donors and saw an increase of $50,000 from last year, stemming from direct donations and payroll deductions, as well as through contributions raised by activities such as the employee pie-eating contest and Penny Wars competition. My Giving Helps ends on a high note

Employees showed their support for these programs and others funded by the MGH Fund and United Way by participating in Blue and Orange Week from Sept. 16 through Sept. 20. The sweetness of giving

What do donating blood and eating cupcakes have in common? During the week of Sept. 9, they were both ways for MGHers to get involved with My Giving Helps: The MGH Fund + United Way, which hosted a blood drive and cupcake sale. Read more.

Pie raises dough

A pie-eating contest, held during the June 28 annual Employee Summer Picnic, served as the unofficial kick-off to the My Giving Helps: The MGH Fund + United Way employee campaign. More than 900 employees raised nearly $47,000 for the campaign, which officially ran Sept. 3-27. Read more.
